about our founder
Our Founder, Shermena M., was born and raised in Queens, NY. Detailed and organized, she is a natural planner. The go-to person for many of her family and friends, Shermena has a love of helping others which she attributes to the examples set by her mother and aunt. Her love of fashion and design goes back as far as she can remember and is attributed to her father. Shermena’s passion for events stems back to childhood where she would have yearly summer birthday parties right before the school year started. Every year, her parents would give her a budget and she would shop with them for décor and food. Her earliest memory of taking her party planning “to the next level” was her 7th birthday party where she and her mom featured a “Create Your Burger Bar”. The Burger Bar was the first time she was able to see the possibilities of bridging the gap between her imagination and reality. She found the true joy of bringing visions to life. It was that revelation that set her on the path to creating events for friends, family and now clients. Shermena prides herself on the uniqueness of her designs and point of view when planning. She describes her personal style as whimsical couture: Solid traditional pieces accented by the wild and unique. Her visions are vintage yet innovative and translate into magic when executed but her truest gift is what she can do with the visions of others!
